Norma Lawrence Unser
Norma Lawrence Unser is the President of CCubed LLC. (Covid Cancer & Company) that provides Consulting Services for Business Development, Fundraising, Event Planning, Board of Directors Development, Donor Engagement, Networking, and Marketing.
Norma started this business after her position as Development Officer with the National Rifle Association [NRA] was eliminated due to Covid-19.
In early April 2020, just days after Norma’s position was eliminated, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Ironically at this same time, her twin sister Elizabeth Childers had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer in October 2019 and was undergoing Chemotherapy Treatments.
After a double Mastectomy and multiple additional surgeries, Norma was unsure of what the future held. While healing, she recognized Non-Profit organizations were suffering during the pandemic. CCubed has several diverse clients, including the Indiana Rifle and Pistol Association and the Indiana Youth Shooting Sports Foundation.
Norma was reintroduced to the shooting sports when she was the Development Director for the Indiana Republican State Party and Team Holcomb (Governor Eric Holcomb). She planned and organized the Governor’s Annual Clay Shoot Fundraiser for several years. First Lady Janet Holcomb is an avid shooter and inspired Norma to try! She started taking lessons and quickly fell in love with the sport. She plans to start shooting as soon as she is fully healed!
Norma and her twin sister continue to promote Breast Cancer Awareness actively. They recently sponsored and planned a shopping fundraiser for Komen Foundation called Twins for Tatas! They are also working on starting new programs for those undergoing a double mastectomy.
